Job Description

Penmac Staffing / Transportation Dept is hiring a local CDL‑A Driver for a steel company in Springfield, MO. This is a full‑time, Monday through Friday position with a 7:00am–5:00pm schedule, paying $20.00 per hour. Requirements for the CDL‑A Driver

CDL‑A driver
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and MVR review
CDL‑A license without an automatic‑only restriction
Ability to read tape measure
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Strong work history and reliability
Able to work in the warehouse when not making local deliveries

CDL‑A Driver Responsibilities

Operate various trucks including flatbed, gooseneck, semi, and straight trucks
Transport steel materials safely to local destinations
Strap and chain loads
Operate an overhead crane by hand
Perform some touch freight as needed
Work with both automatic and manual transmission trucks
Maintain safe driving practices and follow DOT regulations
Flexible hours may be available depending on workload
