Substitute Educational Assistants2026–2027 School Year
Partnering with Penmac Staffing and Pillager School DistrictPenmac Staffing is proud to partner with Pillager School District to hire caring, dependable Substitute Educational Assistants (EAs) for the 2026–2027 school year.If you enjoy working with students, supporting learning, and making a meaningful difference each day, we’d love to connect with you!Position OverviewSubstitute Educational Assistants provide academic and behavioral support to students in a classroom setting. Assignments may vary based on student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Responsibilities may include:

Assisting students with lesson comprehension and classroom activities
Providing one-on-one or small group support
Reinforcing instruction and re-teaching concepts as directed
Supporting students who require close supervision or special assistance
Promoting positive behavior and helping maintain a productive learning environment
Working under the supervision of a licensed professional (such as a Special Education Teacher)

QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree (or higher), OR
Successful completion of an approved paraprofessional assessment

Additional qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
Commitment to supporting students of all abilities

Compensation

Starting pay: $15.20 – $22.00+ per hour
Pay is based on education and relevant experience

Paid time off
Holiday pay (after one year of employment)
Longevity bonus beginning after the second year of employment. With completion of 1000 hours worked during the school year.
