Job Description

Penmac Staffing is hiring a General Labor for a full-time opportunity with a local recycling and processing facility. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and want to be part of a team focused on processing and recycling organic materials safely and efficiently. As a General Laborer, you will assist with unloading trucks, sorting materials, operating around processing equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role offers steady daytime hours and the opportunity to work with an established operation.Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing over 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods
Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace cleanliness
Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

Assist with unloading trucks containing organic waste and recyclable products
Open boxes and containers of materials for processing
Help feed plastic products and containers into shredding equipment
Process and prepare materials for appropriate recycling methods
Hose down work areas and drains as needed
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workspaces, and facility grounds
Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment
Report safety concerns, equipment damage, or maintenance needs to management
Complete required reports accurately and on time
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members
Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and equipment
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing over 100 pounds
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed
Capability to work in a physically demanding environment throughout the shift

Schedule & Pay

Full-time
Monday through Friday
6:45 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
