Job Description

IT Support SpecialistPay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist for a client company. This part-time opportunity is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting employees, and helping maintain efficient IT operations. The IT Support Specialist will provide first-level technical support while assisting with help desk management, documentation, purchasing, and other critical IT functions.Requirements for the IT Support Specialist

Degree or pursuit of a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Previous experience in an IT support, help desk, or IT coordinator role preferred
Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business applications
Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screenings

IT Support Specialist Responsibilities

Provide first-tier technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary
Monitor and manage the IT help desk ticketing system
Prioritize, assign, and track support tickets to ensure timely resolution
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
Prepare and process purchase orders for IT equipment, software, and services
Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, invoicing, and software renewals
Track and manage IT inventory and technology assets
Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources
Assist with routine IT audits, compliance activities, and policy implementation
Support IT projects and technology initiatives as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Benefits and Compensation

$19.00-$20.00 per hour
Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule
