Job Description

Shipping Specialist – Manufacturing (Gerald, MO) Penmac Staffing is hiring a Shipping Specialist for a manufacturing facility in Gerald, MO. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position responsible for coordinating and executing daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of finished products. The Shipping Specialist plays a key role in inventory control, order fulfillment, and compliance with shipping requirements while working closely with plant personnel and transportation partners. Shipping Specialist Schedule
Plant 1 Hours: Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; Friday 6:00 AM–10:00 AM
Plant 2 Hours: Monday–Thursday 6:30 AM–3:45 PM; Friday 6:30 AM–11:30 AM
Overtime is possible on weekdays and occasionally on Friday afternoons. Shipping Specialist Responsibilities

Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and required documentation
Process shipments accurately and in a timely manner
Verify, inspect, and record all items loaded for shipment
Ensure shipping paperwork is complete and compliant with regulations
Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality before release
Identify shipping discrepancies and assist with troubleshooting
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers
Maintain safe work practices in a safety-sensitive environment

Requirements for the Shipping Specialist

Previous shipping, logistics, or related experience preferred, especially in manufacturing
Basic knowledge of inventory management
Basic math, reading, and language skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance is required
Valid state driver’s license preferred
Must successfully complete forklift training or demonstrate safe forklift operation
Must be willing to submit to required pre-employment screenings
