Substitute Teacher Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
Manage the classroom to encourage participation and minimize disruptions
Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and playground areas
Provide in-class and take-home assignments as outlined in lesson plans

Requirements

At least 36 college credit hours in any subject or completion of a Missouri DESE-approved online substitute training program
Missouri Teaching License or Substitute Certificate
Willingness to complete a fingerprint-based background check (contact Penmac before completing this step)
Completion of required training provided by Penmac
