Job Description

Tool & Die Maker - Weekend Day Shift (Pay DOE)The Russellville Penmac Branch is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for a local manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced machinists and toolmakers who enjoy precision work, blueprint interpretation, and solving complex production challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills, experience working with tooling and dies, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment.Requirements for the Tool & Die Maker

Experience operating manual and CNC machine tools
Proficiency with lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs, and other machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD/CAM models, and sketches
Strong shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
CNC programming knowledge preferred
Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Tool & Die Maker Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs
Read and analyze engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and technical specifications
Fit, assemble, and verify tooling components using precision measuring instruments
Test new tools, molds, and dies by running sample parts and evaluating performance
Troubleshoot defects, wear patterns, and tooling issues, making adjustments as needed
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production tooling to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate measurements and tolerances throughout the manufacturing process
Follow all quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout a 12-hour shift
Frequent use of hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery
