Job Description

Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Penmac Staffing is seeking a skilled Torque Converter Machinist for a manufacturing client. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who enjoys process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and working in a production environment focused on quality and efficiency.Requirements

At least five years of professional machining experience
Experience operating CNC machines
Experience operating manual machines and manual lathes
Knowledge of cutting and machining processes
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify process failures
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Ability to travel throughout the United States for training and hands-on experience
Reliable transportation
Strong attendance and dependability
Ability to follow all safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

Analyze and refine existing machining processes for torque converter manufacturing
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance machining and cutting techniques
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement operational improvements
Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to prevent future failures
Monitor and maintain machining equipment to minimize downtime and ensure performance
Train and mentor employees on machining processes and techniques
Enter data into software programs and generate reports
Prepare documentation on process improvements and outcomes
Follow all safety policies and quality standards
Complete other duties as assigned
